Are you a local, can you spot your house? Just over an hour out of Melbourne you will find another small city, Geelong. It has come a long way of late and the Eastern Beach area in particular is a gorgeous destination for a sunny day away from Melbourne. It is the home of this lovely Eastern Beach Swimming enclosure, has many a picnic area with tables, and great views across the water. We often travel to Geelong and the nearby surf coast for photographic shoots and to enjoy the natural beauty. Many an hour was spent on this artwork, we hope you like it. “Saffron”

“Saffron”, a photographic print ready to hang on your walls. In Victoria, Australia, canola season is September, and we simply can’t resist heading out to photograph it with the drone each year. Previously we have added “Golden Plains”, “Fork in the Road”, “Breaching” and “The Grass is always Greener”. This shot was taken in September 2022 in Geelong where we found a beautifully green pond adjacent to the clean lines of the canola fields. This print would add colour to any living room or bedroom. The simple clean lines of the canola together with the bright colour create a beautiful landscape scene. Let us know what you think here or on our socials.

“Dive Right In”

We visit Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula regularly, we have even created an artwork of the gorgeous foreshore here. You can also see the Eastern Beach area shown in all its glory here via drone. This long exposure shot, however, is a closer look at one of the various fun activities located on the beautiful boardwalk around the swimming enclosure. This diving platform was built in the 1920’s and is still used under supervision of lifeguards today. In the distance you can spot the Giant Sky wheel, another attraction of the area.

“Intersection”

A lovely intersection of boats at the marina in Geelong. We love the shapes of boats lined up against piers and this area, as you can see, has many intersecting sections which make for a great top down drone shot.

“Cunningham Pier”

A second shot featuring Cunningham Pier on the waterfront in Geelong. Our other shot “Corio Bay” can be seen here. We also have many other photographs and artworks from the area here. One of our favourites is our hand drawn artwork of Eastern Beach swimming enclosure. The light on the day of this Cunningham Pier shoot was terrific, giving off a lovely, soft, natural glow. “Corio Bay”

Based on the Western side of the city here in Melbourne, we jump down the freeway to Geelong and the Surf Coast quite regularly. Recently on a cold but sunny, calm day we flew our drone around Cunningham Pier. The light was terrific giving off such a soft natural glow. This shot looks across the pier and Corio Bay foreshore towards Geelong Harbour and further in the distance, Eastern Beach Swimming Enclosure which we recently created an artwork of and that you can find here. “Two ducks on a pond”

An hour out of Melbourne lies another small city, Geelong. Of late the coastal area of Geelong has come a long way with improvements to the waterfront being very noticeable to locals and tourists alike. It has beautiful views across the bay, sculpture, boardwalks, a carousel and an updated swimming enclosure. Eastern Beach swimming enclosure was the focal point of one of our recent artworks “Geelong” which you can find here. This top-down of a two boats was taken just near the Cunningham Pier. “A Fork In The Road”

In September each year the canola fields around Victoria produce sensational coloured fields. Already we have shown “Golden Plains” from this shoot, but who can resist these colours?! We decided to also make this shot available for sale on our website, a top down shot of a gravel road dividing the gorgeous fields. Shot in the City of Greater Geelong. Drone photographers love this time of year and agricultural shots during Spring months in Melbourne can be absolutely gorgeous. All our canola shots can be found here.
