Another small town on the Bellarine Peninsula, past Geelong, is the lovely Portarlington. A great holiday spot for fisherman with this great marina full of fishing vessels. The town was possibly named after Portarlington in Ireland but this has never been confirmed. One year we stayed at the local caravan park with families from our street and had a great time exploring all the local beaches and amenities. It’s an easy spot to set off towards Queenscliff, Point Lonsdale or even across to Barwon Heads, Ocean Grove and Torquay areas. [The name and white border will appear as part of the final print, however the website watermark will not appear.]
