Description

Recently we drove down the gorgeous Great Ocean Road. We passed through Lorne and continued on to Wye River, a small coastal town about 2.5 hours out of the city of Melbourne. It’s a great trip, given time as you can explore Geelong, Torquay, Anglesea, Lorne and many other seaside spots during the journey. We would actually recommend allowing several days to explore this section of the Great Ocean Road as there is so much to see and do. Wye River only has a population of around 70 but of course in the holiday seasons this grows dramatically. The Great Ocean Road was officially opened in 1932.
