“Making Tracks”

$59.00$179.00

Whenever I get the chance I love to drive towards the Surf Coast in Victoria. I live on the Western side of Melbourne so it’s an easy day trip for me. Between Geelong and Torquay there are lovely farmland areas often producing crops. These fields were in Freshwater Creek and proved fantastic for some minimal artworks. I love the simplicity of the lines made in agriculture processes. This top-down is particularly minimal, I love the simplicity of the green lines. It occurred to me after I edited the shots that it could be something other than a machine that made the tracks. A shoal of fish came to mind, and I then decided on some sharks appearing to search for their next feed. I drew the sharks as separate entities and then combined them with the top-down drone photograph. The sharks are purposely abstract with patterns you wouldn’t normally see on such creatures, it is not meant to be realism. This artwork is purposely dark. [The name and white border will appear as part of the final print, however the website watermark will not appear.] Poster Rails are available for this product.
