Drone photographers love shooting in forests as the trees can create such wonderful patterns when shot from above. These trees are up near Lancefield about 60 minutes North of Melbourne. On editing this shot I always knew it would be black and white as I already had the idea for the killer whale breaching from below and of course the colours would match. It is intentionally minimal, I like the subtlety in the image. I drew the whale as a separate entity and then combined it with the drone shot photo of the forest area. This artwork is purposely quite dark. [The name and white border will appear as part of the final print, however the website watermark will not appear.]
