“Birrarung”

$59.00$124.00

Many believe the indigenous name of this main river in Melbourne is the same as the actual name, the Yarra. In fact the indigenous name is Birrarung. The City of Melbourne calls the entire area on the banks of the river, Birrarung Marr, meaning ‘river of mists’. This long exposure, black and white shot was taken on the 22nd June 2021 between lockdowns. There is also a similar colour shot entitled Naarm available here.

[The name and white border will appear as part of the final print, however the website watermark will not appear.]
