“Arts Centre, Melbourne”

$59.00$124.00

A hand drawn digital image ready to hang on your wall. We love this building. As a child we went on a school excursion and saw the huge hole in the ground that was to become the Arts Centre, Melbourne. Later as a uni student, and beyond,  I worked as an usher and Theatre Attendant. I loved it so much I stuck around for ten years. I was able to see so much theatre, opera, ballet, musical performances and much more! I still have many a poster and programme from the theatre troupes and international festivals. It was a very tough decision to give up the job knowing that I would never have the same experiences again. This building contains the State Theatre, The Playhouse and George Fairfax Studio. Next door as part of the same complex is Hamer Hall, a grand concert space. The spire is orange in colour and is lit up at light attracting moths which in turn attract the birds to fly around the magnificent spire. I will always hold memories of this building close and I hope you too have great memories from visiting. Let me know any stories below or on our socials.

[The name and white border will appear as part of the final print, however the website watermark will not appear.]
